There’s a layer between the AI model and your users that most product leaders have yet to fully understand: the Harness!
The harness is the code, data, and policy between the model and useful output. The model contributes intelligence. The harness contributes everything else: what the model sees on each turn, which tools it can call, how it remembers prior work, how it’s allowed to act, and how the whole system gets observed over time.
